It wouldn’t be a trip to California without renting a ridiculous car and driving up the coast to Malibu. Lucky for us Enterprise offered a Maserati at a good price, so we set off early and were able to explore the coastline in style.

See below for my recommendations and listen in to Episode 53 for more details:

    • Malibu Farm Pier Cafe
    • The Malibu Café, part of the Calamigos Guest Ranch and Beach Club

    • Point Dume
    • Malibu Wine Safari

Where to Eat and Drink:

Malibu Farm Pier Café – The café sits at the end of a long pier, so it’s like you’re sitting in the ocean. The café offers fresh, locally sourced meals and our brunch was really delicious. I recommend the grilled cheese with tomato.

The Malibu Café – We were so surprised to stumble upon this adult playground tucked in the hills. The restaurant offers a ton of lawn games (cornhole, pool, oversized chess set) perfect for those Instagramable moments.

Things to Do:

Point Dume – A quick hike from the street allows you to get picturesque views of both the north and south coastlines.

Malibu Wine Safari – Animals and wine? Yes, please. This tour lets you take in amazing views of both the mountainside and some wildlife all while stopping along the way for wine tastings.
